Liberals continue cover-up of sexual misconduct in the CAF
April 30, Ottawa, Ontario, James Bezan, Conservative Shadow Minister for National Defence, Pierre Paul-Hus, Conservative Shadow Minister for Public Services and Procurement, and Leona Alleslev, MP for Aurora—Oak Ridges—Richmond Hill, released the following statement on the Liberals blocking Justin Trudeau’s Chief of Staff from testifying at the Defence Committee on the cover-up of sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces:
“By blocking Justin Trudeau’s top aid, Katie Telford, from testifying at the Defence Committee, the Liberals are continuing their cover-up into sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces.
“It’s clear the Trudeau Liberals will use every tool at their disposal to block Canadians from the truth of this cover-up. The Liberals are hiding damaging information from Canadians and need to reveal what they knew and when.
“Throughout this scandal, Justin Trudeau and Minister Sajjan’s story has repeatedly changed and have misled Canadians in the process. For almost three months, the Liberals have done everything they could to ensure that the facts of this scandal don’t get out.
“The Liberals are proving once again they are more interested in protecting Katie Telford than the women and men in uniform. Canada’s Conservatives will continue to demand that Justin Trudeau ends his cover-up of sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces.”
